About the author

Son of an American mother and a Spanish father, Josué Raúl Conte was born in the Principality of Andorra in 1969. He received his doctorate in medieval philosophy and literature at the Opus Dei University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain Formerly a member of the Neo-catechumenal Way, Conte became disillusioned with ultra conservative Catholicism and looked for a contemporary Catholic answer to a changing culture.  Having taught at various colleges and universities, he is now a free lance journalist, living in San Francisco with Alicia, his second wife, and Ivan, their Russian wolf hound.
